Think of Yemeni

To the editor:

U.S. Rep. Eliot Engel remained publicly silent on whether the United States should continue arming and aiding the Saudi-led war in Yemen.

Now that he just won the Democratic primary, he should commit to supporting legislation to withdrawing the United States from this war.

Furthermore, he and his colleagues should call for an immediate ceasefire in Hodeida, Yemen. The majority of Yemen’s food comes through this port, and he should demand an immediate ceasefire, backed by consequences to the Saudi-United Arab Emirates coalition for failure to comply.
