Police said five male teenagers attacked and robbed a 14-year-old girl on July 30 at 9:40 p.m.

The suspects, also about 14, approached the victim while she was walking at the northwest corner of Sedgwick Avenue and West 229th Street and began to beat her. The robbers kicked her in the knee and punched her in the face.

The teenagers took her LG cell phone and a gold watch with a total value of $130.

The victim, who was treated by emergency personnel who responded to the scene, said she did not know who her attackers were.

The case remains open to detectives.

2. Robbed at gunpoint

Police said a 75-year-old woman was walking home from the bus stop at West 238th Street and Riverdale Avenue when a man approached her, displayed a firearm and stated, “Put the pocketbook in the bag.”

During the July 28 incident around 12:50 a.m., the victim complied. Her pocketbook contained $100 in cash, a Samsung phone worth $100, a MasterCard and eyeglasses.

The suspect, described as a 5-foot-4 black male about age 18 or 19, left the scene after taking the pocketbook.

The robbery case remains open to detectives.

3. Early a.m. robbery

Three men robbed a 64-year-old male in front of 88 W. 197th St. on July 30 at 2 a.m., according to police.

After parking his car on Reservoir Avenue, the victim walked onto West 197th Street, where he was stopped by a trio who asked him for the time.

When the victim checked the time on his iPhone, the suspects snatched the device out of his hands. They then pushed him against a car, causing pain, and removed an I.D. and $102 from his top breast pocket.

The three robbers, black males between the ages of 16 and 17, were arrested on Sunday and Monday. A spokeswoman for the 50th Precinct said the victim identified his robbers after they were picked up by the detective squad.

4. Grand larceny auto

A man in his twenties discovered his car missing in front of 3900 Waldo Ave. on July 31 around 2:20 p.m., according to police.

The vehicle was valued at $2,000. No broken glass was found at the scene of the crime.

The case is closed to detectives.

5. Smoker smashes door

Police said a man became enraged and vandalized a deli at 5189 Broadway after the establishment did not sell him loose cigarettes.

The roughly 27-year-old suspect uttered slang asking for loose smokes. When the employee ascertained what the suspect wanted and said he would not sell any, the man exited, slamming a glass door so hard that its glass shattered.

The criminal mischief case remains open to detectives.
