A. Robbers arrested

A 30-year-old man was walking from the train station on West 242nd Street near 6115 Broadway on Sunday at around 1:50 a.m.

Police said that while he was walking, an 18-year-old man came from behind and punched him on the right side of his face.

According to police, the perpetrator was with two other males.

Authorities said a 16-year-old co-conspirator told the victim, “Give me your phone.”

The 16-year-old attacker then lunged at the victim with a kitchen knife, tearing the victim’s jacket, according to the police report.

According to authorities, he then told the victim, “Give me your wallet.”

After the robbers snatched the man’s wallet and iPhone, they fled southbound on West 242nd Street, according to police.

Police did a canvass of the area after the victim reported the incident and all three perpetrators — ages 16, 18 and 27 — were arrested by West 240th Street on Van Cortlandt Park South.

According to court records, one of the suspects had several prior offenses, but claimed that the other two perpetrators were responsible for the robbery, stating in the criminal complaint that, “When they started running, I ran too.”

The trio was arraigned on robbery charges in the first, second and third degrees, grand larceny in the fourth degree, assault in the second degree and menacing in the second degree, among other offences, according to the Bronx District Attorney’s office.

Their next court date is on Friday, Nov. 28.

He was charged with DWI after failing the test.
