Delivery driver robbed at gunpoint

A pair of armed moped riders reportedly robbed a delivery driver at gunpoint on Feb. 23, making off with some cash and a cell phone.

According to police, the 23-year-old was returning from making a delivery on his bicycle near the 3400 block of Tibbett Avenue just after 7:30 p.m., when he noticed two people on a moped following him.

One of the two pointed a gun at the delivery guy, forcing him to hand over $200, his cell phone and his bicycle.

They then took off toward West 234th Street before disapparing.

No one was injured, and police continue to investigate.

 

Police investigating stabbing by Exterior

Details remain sketchy after a 29-year-old man was stabbed in the torso not far from Exterior and West 225th streets near Marble Hill. Just before 7 p.m. on Feb. 22.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

 

Hyundai stolen from parking lot

Thieves were able to make off with a new car that was parked just a few blocks south of Van Cortlandt Park.

A 67-year-old man told police he parked his 2020 Hyundai Elantra in a parking lot near Sedgwick Avenue on the afternoon of Feb. 20. But when he returned a couple days later, his car was gone.

Police continue to investigate.
