A 50-year-old woman parked her car opposite the 3700 block of Jerome Avenue early on May 4, only to return later in the day to find her 2005 grey Toyota Camry gone without a trace.

There was no sign of a break-in and police also checked with city agencies to see if the car was towed.

Cops even drove around the area, checking to see if the owner had accidentally forgot where she parked her car — something police say happens more often than one might think.
