Riverdale Art Fest Sept. 24

The first Riverdale Art Fest is coming to the Riverdale Sunday Market on Sunday, Sept. 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The market is held weekly in the Riverdale Temple parking lot at 4545 Independence Ave.

As part of the fest Riverdale artists will be featured in the center aisle of the market with painting, photography, drawing, watercolor, spin art, acrylics and three-dimensional art.

“Riverdale is a creative community, and we want to emphasize that creativity and give artists a chance to interact with their audience,” said Eric Kollin, co-director of the fest. “We see the Riverdale Art Fest as a way to call attention to the great creativity in Riverdale and the Bronx art scene as a whole.”

The event is sponsored by Bronx Council on the Arts and The Riverdale Y. For more information on getting a space for artists, contact Kollin at riverdalefest@gmail.com
