2018: In photos

Posted

If any word could used to describe 2018, it would be whiplash.

It was often difficult to keep up with the relentless pace of the news cycle. Here, life wasn't nearly as chaotic as the national and international news cycles, but it had its fair share of surprises.

This year saw Alessandra Biaggi become a household name when she toppled a  political behemoth, the soon-to-be-former state Sen. Jeff Klein. High school students walked out of class to call attention to the scourge of gun violence. A snowstorm took everyone by surprise, and slowed traffic to a snail's pace.

Here is a collection of some of the photos that encapsulate this crazy year.
