I am totally in agreement with Marcia Yerman’s recent letter.
I have lived in this area since the early ‘70s, and back then, we had so many wonderful stores. It’s just such a shame now to see so many empty storefronts on Johnson Avenue and West 235th Street.

I am new to Riverdale, one year in. When I arrived, I was told to be sure to subscribe to The Riverdale Press, which I did. How fortunate the area is to have a hometown newspaper, weekly at that!

I moved to Riverdale 45 years ago so that my children could attend great schools. My two daughters attended P.S. 81 and then Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy — and they received phenomenal educations.
